The How To:
Ingredients
1 lb. Ground Venison
1 tbsp. Open Season
18 oz. Tomato Sauce
7 oz. Chipotle Sauce
1 tbsp. Chili Powder
1 tsp. Cumin
1 White Onion (medium, fine chop)
4 Garlic Cloves (minced)
1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
Instructions
Place dutch oven (or large pot) on burner turned to medium.
Pour in small amount of neutral oil into pot. Place Onion and Garlic into pot. Cook until fragrant (2-3 minutes).
Add Ground Venison and Open Season. Mix in with Onion/Garlic Mixture. Cook until meat is browned.
Add Tomato Sauce, Chipotle Sauce, Chili Powder, Cumin, and Brown Sugar.
Mix until evenly incorporated. Let simmer for 2 hours to let the flavors meld.
Pour into bowl, top with Cheese, Crackers, Jalapenos, etc.
I get this blend as much as I possibly can. I put it on burgers, sure, but I’ve also found that it’s fantastic on other grilled meats as well. It just works and I can’t get enough!
