Venison Tenderloin Sliders

The How To:
Ingredients
- ~1 lbs. Venison Backstrap
- 2 1/2 tbsp. OPEN SEASON
- 1 Red Onion (julienned)
- 3 tbsp. Butter (divided)
- 8 pieces Extra Sharp Cheddar
- 8 slider Buns
- Lowcountry Gold
Instructions
- Place BACKSTRAP in freezer for 45 minutes.
- Place skillet onto burner and turn to medium low. While in freezer, julien the red onion. Place 2 tbsp. BUTTER and RED ONION into skillet. Stir occasionally.
- After 45 minutes, pull BACKSTRAP and slice as thin as you can. Using a knife if fine.
- Caramelized onions should be done. Pull the onions out of the pan and turn skillet to medium-high. Add 1 tbsp. BUTTER.
- Once BUTTER is bubbling add in sliced BACKSTRAP and OPEN SEASON. Cook until just a little pink remains.
- Build your sliders! Add CHEESE SLICE to every bun. Evenly distribute BACKSTRAP onto SLIDER BUNS. Top with CARAMELIZED ONIONS and drizzle with LOWCOUNTRY GOLD!
- MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH!
Notes
- Try smoking the backstrap for a different flavor addition.
- Add Cranberry Sauce to some Lowcountry Gold for a nice twist.
- Thinly slice Honey Crisp Apples and place on sandwiches.

Absolutely! This recipes can work for more classic meats like pork and chicken, but also elk, moose, and even bear!
